Paul and Ryan are back with the latest episode of In the Clinch, the MMA podcast. The guys switch up the format and open the show with some big news that broke Monday. Rafael Fiziel is out of his co-main event on this coming weekend's UFC 272 pay per view event. UFC is trying to find an opponent for Rafael Dos Anjos on short notice and Ryan breaks down the option. Ryan then goes on a rant about Bellator matchmaking after this past weekend's show where a top prospect got destroyed by Gegard Mousasi and it's about to happen again. They then recap this past weekend's UFC on ESPN+ show in a slightly different way from usual with Ryan and Paul each giving their "3 stars" from the show, as in the NHL. Ryan then gives the extensive backstory that led to the main event of UFC 272 this coming Saturday with Colby Covington taking on Jorge Masvidal in a 5 round non-title main event. They then each give 3 fights or fighters to keep an eye on over the rest of the card.
