In an insane back and forth match, Swerve Strickland beat Ricochet to come the number one contender to Jon Moxley's AEW World Title.
Prince Nana left ringside after Swerve pushed him down in a fit of rage outside the ring after he tried to break up Swerve and Ricochet. Swerve tried to apologize to him, but Nana was too upset and walked to the back.
Comedian Leslie Jones and The Masked Singer star Ken Jeong were part of the story as they yelled at Ricochet from their ringside seats. Lakers legend Michael Cooper, Kelli Berglund who played Nell Stewart in Queen of the Ring and Paul Walter Hauser were also visible ringside.
Ricochet hit Swerve with a 630 from the top rope, but Swerve kicked out. Nana ran back out to grab his robe that Ricochet stole. He put it on, but Ricochet did a dive out and wiped out Nana. He then put the robe back on. Swerve finally won the match and he presented the robe to Nana so he could dance.
