Katie Taylor Vs. Amanda Serrano 2 Live Coverage

Katie Taylor Vs. Amanda Serrano 2 Live Coverage

We're going to be live blogging tonight's semi-main event to the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight in a separate article from the main event.

Carlos Toro and I will discuss both fights tonight live after the Netflix broadcast is over. Make sure you follow our YouTube channel to be notified when we go live.

We'll be back once Taylor and Serrano do their walks to the ring.

Katie Taylor Vs. Amanda Serrano

Round One
Serrano landed a lead left hand with less than 10 seconds to go that caught Taylor by surprise and rocked her a bit. The rest of the round was Serrano leading the exchanges and Taylor using her counter punching. First round goes to Serrano.

Round Two
The second round was much more in Taylor's favor. Serrano was coming forward and Taylor was backing up, but timing her shots when Serrano was in mid-step. Taylor stayed away from Serrano's power hand. Serrano will have to mix up the way she leads the exchange. Second round goes to Taylor.

Round Three
That was another good round for Serrano. Taylor looks a little uncomfortable in there as if she can't figure out what's coming. But Seranno is mostly just moving forward and throwing big shots. Taylor seemed to have a better read on her in the second, but not in the third. Serrano's energy seems to be better too.

Round Four
That was a really good round. Both women were bringing in big shots. They clinched in the middle and Katie Taylor's head rubbed against Serrano's right eye and cut her. Taylor was out-slicking her but took a big left hand late in the round.

Round Five
The cut is dripping down Serrano's eye, but it doesn't look to be in her eye. Taylor was rejuvenated in the round, leading some of the exchanges and mostly escaping the big left hand.

Round Six
Before the round, the referee told Taylor that she's holding too much and she's better than that. Serrano took another butt on the cut and the cut opened up pretty ugly. You can see the flesh. Serrano came back hard after the fight was paused by the doctor. It was like she could sense she had to do something. But Taylor did too. There was a sense of urgency with both fighters.

Round Seven
It was a phone booth fight to start the round. Taylor was targeting her cut eye and not afraid to stick her head there, making Serrano uncomfortable. Serrano was throwing bombs and Taylor was taking them. That was the best round of the fight. Serrano is winning, but the cut and the urgency around it has caused some drama.

Round Eight
The referee had to warn Taylor again. They aren't worried about defense anymore. This is an incredible action fight. The referee took a point away from Taylor for digging her head into the side of Serrano's face. The punches landed percentage is incredible in this fight. It felt like Taylor may have changed the tempo of the fight, but the point deduction takes it away.

Round Nine
It was another great round and Taylor seems to have the energy edge, but she might have given up too many rounds. She may need a knockout after the point deduction. Taylor's hands are fast and Serrano is wearing down.

Round Ten
What an incredible end to the fight. Taylor probably won the last three rounds, but that point deduction is going to be crucial on the scorecards. Serrano clearly won the first half of the fight, but Taylor came back strong, using the cut to her advantage. They ended the fight in the corner slugging it out.

Winner: Katie Taylor by unanimous decision

The scores were 95-94 all the way around.
