And we're back here after Katie Taylor eked out a questionable decision over Amanda Serrano in a must-see fight.
Jake Paul Vs. Mike Tyson
Round One
Tyson looks good early on and he was able to test Jake's chin early on. Jake has missed his big right, but he's loading up on it. He then landed it perfectly. Tyson's strategy is to bob and weave his way in and try to catch Jake up against the ropes.
Round Two
Tyson looked less bouncy in that round. Jake's strategy is to keep the distance and force Tyson to chase him. There's a sense of dread watching as it only took one round for Tyson's energy to be zapped. Not that the scoring really matters, but it's probably split at 1-1.
Round Three
That was a bad round for Tyson. Seems like Paul let up on him a bit. He rocked him with a few left hooks in a row and Tyson was wobbled. But Paul stopped throwing. Easy round for Paul and he can probably get Tyson out of there if he wants.
Round Four
That was a whole round of nothing. Tyson didn't want to engage and Paul's game is playing off of Tyson's slow movement.
Round Five
Tyson had his best exchange since the first round, but nothing else much to the round. Jake is staying away just enough to not really get touched.
Round Six
Fight has turned into a snoozer. If Paul wants to press the action, he can. The fact that he's not tells me he either doesn't want to, or he's worried about being hit, and it's probably the former.
Round Seven
Very one-sided round for Paul. Tyson has energy in small bunches and if he can't get to Paul, it's all for naught. Paul landed some nice shots, but he didn't follow up like he could've.
Round Eight
With about 10 seconds left, Jake put his hands behind his back and bowed twice at Mike. Mike took a few shots, but nothing too badly. If Paul lost a round, it was the first.
Winner: Jake Paul by way of unanimous decision
The scores were 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73.
