At the World Series of Fighting event tonight, in the main event, Josh Burkman submitted Jon Fitch with a guillotine choke. Fitch went out quickly and cold. Burkman saw this and dropped him before the referee could even stop the fight.

This is one of the more well rounded PPV cards. You have a main event that might not sell on its own, but should be a fantastic, fast-paced fight. You have a heavyweight contender who is not without controversy in Alistair Overeem. You have someone in Rashad Evans who is one of UFC’s best drawing cards when paired with the right person. Filling out the rest of the main card are what should be two very competitive fights between top contenders.
Ian McCall Vs. Joseph Benavidez
GG says: Benavidez by decision
Would I be a puss if I called a draw? Yes, so I won’t. However, this fight is a coin flip to me. The only reason I’m taking Benavidez is because of his wrestling game and the fact that the judges love the wrestling game. Both guys lost to Demetrious Johnson and both guys could very well beat him if they fought him again. I’m not expecting a finish and I don’t think McCall can submit Benavidez. A knockout is possible on both ends, but I don’t see that happening either. It should be a fine grappling bout where at the end, we’re not totally sure who won or lost.
