Ryan Frederick and Paul Fontaine are back to talk about the week that was and is to come in the World of MMA. In our "We Have to Talk About" segment, Ryan mentions some news that broke late Monday afternoon in which UFC fighters will no longer be permitted to wager on fights. They then recap this past weekend's UFC on ESPN+ show, which was a good show overall headlined by an important fight in the women's flyweight division with Alexa Grasso potentially earning a title shot with a win over Vivianne Araujo. The talk about John Lineker's upcoming fight for One on Amazon Prime Friday night before previewing the big show of the month, UFC 280 from Abu Dabhi. The show is headlined by two title fights with Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev squaring off for the vacant lightweight title and TJ Dillashaw challenging Aljamain Sterling for his bantamweight title. They also go over the rest of the deep card with a lot of great fights on it. Ryan introduces a new segment called "Question of the Week" and this week, the guys discuss who should be the first opponent for Justin Gaethje when he returns in early 2023. And in the news of the week, Ryan has more on UFC 282 and the potential of a Jon Jones return with time running out to make that announcement, UFC's return to South Korea in February and Jorge Masvidal angling for a title fight.
