Bobby Lashley Vs. Brock Lesnar
Lashley jumped Lesnar before the bell and Lesnar bonked his knee into the steel steps. Lashley speared him on the outside and then once again in the middle of the ring. Lesnar went back to the outside and Lashley speared him through the barricade. Lesnar’s selling his knee by limping. Lashley gave him another spear before a pin fall and a two count. Lesnar took over offensively with two German suplexes. And then another. Lesnar hit an F5, but Lashley kicked out.
Lashley slipped out and Lashley clotheslined Lesnar over the top rope. He picked Brock up on his shoulders and rammed him into the post. Lashley set up another spear but Brock tried to turn it into a F5. Lashley slipped out again and gave him a spinebuster. He then put him in the Hurt Lock. Brock went down to one knee and told the referee to shut up. Brock walked toward the ropes and ran up the top rope to push back on Lashley and pinned him. It didn’t look great, though the match was solid.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
The story of the match is that Lashley kicked his ass and Brock lucked out.
After the match, Lashley put him back in the Hurt Lock.
DAMAGE CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) Vs. Asuka & Alexa Bliss
During an interview with Byron Saxton, Alexa was distracted. Bray Wyatt is haunting her.
The women are wearing fully sleeved versions of their normal ring attire. Dakota and Alexa started the match, but it was just to set up IYO and Asuka in the ring together. The heels started to work on Asuka’s left leg. Alexa finally made the hot tag and ran wild. IYO turned the tables with a back breaker. Bliss gave her a Code Red for a two count.
IYO and Dakota tried a double superplex on Bliss, but a limping Asuka turned it into a powerbomb at the same time. Asuka hit Kai with a missile dropkick. Dakota hit her running big boot on Asuka for a two count. Asuka kicked Kai and tagged Alexa for Twisted Bliss, but Kai got her knees up. SKY missed a moonsault on Asuka on the outside. Nikki Cross interfered and DDT’d Bliss while the referee was concerned with Asuka and SKY. Kai pinned Bliss to win the match.
Winner: DAMAGE CTRL
Saxton interviewed Logan Paul who rolled up in a limo. Paul said he’s going to shock the world with one lucky punch.
Karrion Kross Vs. Drew McIntyre
Escape the cage rules are in effect.
The match was heavy hitting as expected. Lots of athletic stuff with both guys. Scarlett sprayed Drew in the face, but Kross couldn’t make it out in time. Drew tried to escape the cage, but Scarlett locked it so he had to climb outside. Kross tried to beat him out of the ring as Scarlett unlocked the door, but McIntyre beat him to the floor and won the match.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
Roman Reigns, the Usos, and Solo came to the building in their own limo. Saxton asked Roman about Paul’s comments and Roman walked off. Heyman made fun of Saxton’s question.
Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Dominick Mysterio, & Damian Priest) Vs. The OC (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows)
This was a hot match, but a ton of not respecting the tag rules to get there. Gallows and Priest were the two big dudes beating the hell out of each other. Styles and Balor were the great wrestlers going at each other. Late in the match, Styles set up Balor for the Phenomenal Forearm but Rhea Ripley got AJ on her shoulders and drove him down to the side of the apron. Balor hit a shotgun drop kick and Styles bounced off the corner. He then hit the Coup de Grâce on Styles to win the match.
Winner: Judgment Day
Omos Vs. Braun Strowman
They started the match with a test of strength. Lots of selling from Strowman and bodyslams from Omos. Strowman tried to get him up, but couldn’t. Strowman’s punches didn’t do much, but he finally clotheslined Omos over the top rope. Omos couldn’t even go over the first time.
Omos missed a running avalanche in the corner and Strowman picked him up and powerslammed him to win the match.
Winner: Braun Strowman
The Usos Vs. The Brawling Brutes
The crowd definitely wants Sami Zayn.
The Usos took charge early on. Butch hit Jimmy with a tornado DDT to tag in Ridge Holland. Jey tagged in and it was Ridge running wild. Ridge picked up both Usos and dumped them.
Butch and Jey went at it. Butch was in the corner and faked a dive which caused Jey to fake a superkick. Butch then hit a moonsault for a two count. Butch had Jimmy in a triangle armbar combo. But he was laid out and both Usos hit a splash on him for a two count as Ridge saved the fall. Ridge hit the White Noise for a near fall. Crowd bought that one.
Usos double superkicked Ridge. Jey had Butch on the top rope and fell backward as Jimmy hit the 1D for the finish.
Winner: The Usos
Bayley Vs. Bianca Belair
When I first started watching wrestling, I can’t remember five Last Man Standing matches until the 2000s. Now it feels like we have one every other month.
The match started in the ring, but was very soon to the outside. Bayley teased getting hurt by tripping over the lights on the ramp and screaming as if she tore her knee. But it was just to get the advantage on Bianca. She brought a chair into the ring and put it on top of Bianca who was on her back. Bianca got up and threw it at her as she was climbing the top.
Bayley trapped Bianca inside the ring steps and Bianca fell to the ground. Bayley brought a ladder over the hole in the steps, hoping to trap Bianca in the ladder. Then she hit her with a kendo stick and Bianca fell underneath the steps again. Bianca got up at eight. Bianca gave Bayley a spinebuster on the steps.
Bayley hightailed it up the ramp and Bianca caught her, but Bayley gave her a Bayley to Belly. Bayley threw her into a trunk to trap her. Then she put her in a crossface. Bayley drove a golf cart out very slowly. Bianca didn’t really know how to react as it was moving way too slowly for her to be in danger. Both women went to the top of the cart. Bayley was knocked out on top and Bianca drove the cart down to the ring. But again, it was too slow for it to be even a half decent stunt. Bayley grabbed her hair but Bianca used her own hair to toss Bayley onto a table that didn’t break. Bianca then powerbombed her through it. Bayley made it up at the count of nine.
Bianca put her on chairs and then missed a 450 onto the chairs. Bianca made it up at nine. Bianca gave Bayley the KOD onto a chair. Then Bianca put Bayley inside the ladder and closed the ladder so Bayley couldn’t get up.
Winner: Bianca Belair
Bray Wyatt came out with his full entrance. The mask made him not afraid and untouchable. It feels good. Compares it in a roundabout way to drugs. But the monster destroyed him and he was alone. People don’t love Bray for Bray. Bray is here to rewrite the ending to his story.
The video plays on the big screen trying to tempt him to put the mask on again.
Logan Paul Vs. Roman Reigns
The match was designed to take advantage of Paul’s athleticism. The story was much more about the underdog possibly having a slim chance against an all-time great and it was a misread. But because of Paul’s athleticism and Roman’s great timing, the match worked.
Logan Paul hit a sweet buckshot lariat early in the match. He went for a springboard something or other in the ring and Roman caught him with a punch. Roman had the upper hand and Logan’s selling was quite good for his level of experience. Logan hit a blockbuster on Roman for a two count. Logan hit a superman punch, which isn’t exactly a knockout blow for a two. Logan hit a high cross from the top rope and a standing moonsault for a two count.
Logan set up the Sweet Chin Music as an ode to Shawn Michaels, but it was bad and Roman turned it into a Rock Bottom. Roman set up the superman punch and Paul moved and hit him in the kidneys and then threw a crazy overhand right. He then hit a superman punch and Roman kicked out.
Roman was out of it on the outside. Instead of following up, Paul took someone’s phone and brought it into the ring. It was recording video. He then leapt from the top rope with the phone in hand to hit Roman with a high cross to the outside and through the announcer’s table. The guy with the phone must be a wrestler as the Usos took him and another guy out. Jake Paul came out and it was two Usos against one Jake Paul. He threw two poor working punches to knock out both Usos.
Logan threw Roman back into the ring and hit a frog splash for a two count. Solo Sikoa came out to face off against Jake. The Usos snuck up behind him. Logan saw his brother being double teamed and dove out on the Usos. He came back into the ring and Roman immediately hit him with a superman punch and then a spear and won the match.
Winner: Roman Reigns
