Did you know that Fight Game Media has a new exclusive show on our YouTube channel? It’s called Powerbombshells and it’s hosted by myself and Mel Gray.
We’ve done six episodes and our latest one is the biggest one yet. It was our very first livestream and we focused on the non-WrestleMania shows. For the last few years, various promotions have held shows in the same city that WrestleMania is in.
GCW began The Collective shows on Thursday and ran them through the weekend. Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor show went on as scheduled. IMPACT Wrestling and New Japan were among the promotions running shows.
While Mel & I both watched Mania Week shows, I watched the bulk of them. Between Thursday and Sunday, I watched 12 shows. In this episode of Powerbombshells, I review Bloodsport 8, Joey Janela’s Spring Break (part 1 & 2), For The Culture, Supercard of Honor, AEW Rampage, IMPACT Multiverse of Matches, EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch, Mission Pro Wrestling, Black Label Pro, and Night 1 of WrestleMania.
Mel calculated how many matches I watched, which you’ll find the answer to when you watch the episode (spoiler alert: it’s A LOT).
We also discuss wrestlers we enjoyed seeing, matches and spots we liked. I discuss my interview with EFFY where we discussed why he wanted to face Minoru Suzuki and Pimpinella Escalarta, cultivating an environment of inclusion, and how to grow independent wrestling.
If you’d like to see other episodes you can find them here. Note: Episode 2 was an AEW Revolution post-show that took place on Twitter Spaces, which is only available for one month.
