The rules are simple: We make five picks for each card and a $100 bet on each pick. We will keep track of the profits and losses, the most fights picked correctly and the number of events won per person. Obviously, if you’re betting, the only important thing is how much money you win and lose, so keep that in mind.

For betting novices, odds reflect the amount of money won or lost on a $100 bet. If the odds are negative, you must bet that amount to win $100. If they are positive, you win that amount if you bet $100.

Additionally, we will give our “best bet” exclusively on our In the Clinch podcast that drops on Tuesdays. Last week, both our picks lost but blame bad judging. I picked Cortney Casey and the only two people on Earth who thought that JJ Aldrich won that fight were the two judges who scored it for her. Ryan picked Misha Cirkunov and he just got KO’d. So, on the year, Ryan’s best bets are 4–4 with a loss of $213.31 and mine are 3-4 with a loss of $154.39.

UFC on ESPN+ 45 results

Ryan’s picks went 2–2 with a profit of $19.52. He picked Eryk Anders, as well all did, and he was well on his way to a stoppage win before he nailed his opponent with an illegal knee and it was declared a no contest.

My picks were 2–1 with a profit of $119.52. In addition to Eryk Anders, I also picked Belal Muhammad, which ended up as a no contest. And then the Casey loss that should’ve been a win. But it was still a profitable night and I’ve now got two on the year. Ryan also has two and Promise leads the way with five.

Promise went 1–2 with a loss of $90. He had the same two no contests as I did.

Year-to-date results

Ryan’s picks are 23–18 on the year with a profit of $162.78

My picks are 18–22 with a loss of $233.95

]Promise’s picks are 20–21 with a profit of $286.36

Overall, our combined profit is $215.19.
