WWE Elimination Chamber Live Coverage

wwe elimination chamber

Andrew Marshall will be here live with your WWE Elimination Chamber live coverage. After the show, he and Keila Cash will be on the Fight Game Media Network Patreon with Break It Down, their recap podcast, talking about the show.

Good evening ladies and germs, we have a fatal four-way on the kick off show to determine the latest entrant in the US title triple threat match Keith Lee was removed from earlier today.

Mustafa Ali vs. John Morrison vs. Ricochet vs. Elias

Keith Lee will not participate in the US title match later this evening. Interesting mix of talent here, crazy none of them were booked to begin with, especially Ali.

Everyone takes turns working over Ricochet, who finally turns the tables on Mustafa Ali. BreakItDown podcast favorite SLAPJACK is ringside in support of Ali. Elias lands a knee to Ali but SLAPJACK breaks up the pin, with no DQ in a fatal four-way.

Elias hits a sit-out choke-side-slam(?) thing on Ricochet, strange as they’re roughly the same height. Morrison hits Moonlight Drive but Ricochet kicks out. All four men are down in each corner. Ricochet hits a nice springboard moonsault on Ali and Morrison. Ricochet hits a snapdragon with a bridge for a two-count.

Ricochet hits a 450 on Ali but RETRIBUTION break up the pin again. He tries to do a somersault tope but he is caught and slammed into the ringpost by T-BAR.

In the confusion, John Morrison rolls up Ali for the win!

WINNER, and joining the US Title match later this evening: John Morrison

WWE Elimination Chamber 2021

WWE Universal Championship #1 Contenders Match, winner to face Roman Reigns later this evening: Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. King Corbin

Kevin Owens is out first and locked into his pod. Sami Zayn is out next. King Corbin is third. Jey Uso is out fourth and Daniel Bryan and Cesaro will start things off.

Bryan and Cesaro trade offense like two world class athletes until the party is ruined by King Corbin being in third. He immediately punishes both Cesaro and Bryan in the chamber.

Bryan goes for his corner dropkicks but Cesaro moves and he hits his uppercuts. Corbin tries to pin both men but two kickouts.

A lot of trash-talking between the competitors in the pods with the people in the match. Sami Zayn is chatting away.

The fourth entrant into the match is Sami Zayn. He blocks Corbin from entering his pod with the plexiglass. Bryan levels Corbin into the pod as Sami Zayn talks smack. His pod is open on the other side, where Cesaro drags him out for some uppercuts.

No eliminations yet in this chamber as the four men work around the ring. Bryan is selling his knee. Zayn tries to hit the Helluva Kick on Bryan outside but Bryan moves and Zayn kicks the pod door.

Corbin with a huge superplex off the top rope on Bryan as Zayn comes in and hits a tornado DDT on Cesaro for a two.

Zayn gets boosted to the top of Jey Uso’s pod. Cesaro follows him up. The two fight on top of the pod as Zayn teeters on falling. Cesaro uses the chamber ceiling and stomps Zayn off the side of the cage. Corbin with slams on Bryan to the cage. A springboard by Bryan is caught by Corbin for a chokeslam. Corbin gets sent into the post by Cesaro, before a Big Swing. He steps through into a Sharpshooter and Corbin taps.

King Corbin has been eliminated.

The timer ticks down and Kevin Owens enters the match. Zayn teases an alliance with Owens. Owens feigns interest before sending him into the plexiglass. He hits a release German suplex on Bryan before Cesaro comes in with an uppercut. Kevin Owens goes to superplex Zayn but he gets bitten by Zayn. Owens then hits Cannonball Splashes on all three men down in the corner. We get a finisher spam as all four men are down, with Jey Uso still left to enter.

Owens is in control with a near-fall on both Zayn and Bryan. The clock ticks down and Jey Uso is now in the match.

All five men fight on the inside as Owens scales a pod and hits a lovely moonsault. He hits a Stunner on Bryan. A Stunner on Cesaro. A Stunner on Zayn. He gets the elimination.

Sami Zayn has been eliminated.

Jey Uso gets the Elimination Chamber door shut on Kevin Owens’ arm and Uso hits a few superkicks while he is unable to escape. Jey Uso hits a top rope splash and pins Owens.

Kevin Owens has been eliminated.

We’re down to Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, and Jey Uso. Uso kicks Bryan’s injured knee. Cesaro hits a top rope elbow on Uso for a two. Cesaro swings Uso into the cage wall a few times before he catches Bryan from the top rope and dumps him into the ring. Bryan almost pins Cesaro with a backslide.

Cesaro and Bryan have both been in the match over 30 minutes. Bryan sells the knee after stomps to a downed Cesaro. He calls for the Knee Plus but Cesaro reverses. Bryan reverses into a two count. Bryan to the top rope. Cesaro meets him there with a running uppercut, before a few stationary ones. Cesaro with Bryan on his shoulders on the second rope. He drops Bryan with Dean Malenko gut buster. Cesaro had a stretch muffler/Big Swing that Uso interrupts with a superkick. Uso hits a top rope splash and eliminates Cesaro.

Cesaro has been eliminated

Uso goes to splash Bryan, he hits it. Bryan kicks out! He goes for another splash but knees up by Bryan. Bryan hits the Knee Plus and pins Uso to win!

Winner, and #1 Contender for the Universal Title: Daniel Bryan

Roman Reign’s music hits and I believe the title match is up next.

WWE Universal Championship

Daniel Bryan vs (c) Roman Reigns

Bryan is still in a heap in the ring as Reigns makes his way out, pyro and all. The bell rings, Roman Reigns charges, and is immediately caught in the Yes Lock!

Reigns powers out of the Yes Lock by pulling Bryan’s hands off his face. He then starts absolutely hammering away on Bryan. Reigns looks at the referee as if to ask, what are you going to do about it?

Reigns locks in the Guillotine Choke and this one’s over.

Winner, and still Universal Champion: Roman Reigns

From out of nowhere, Edge levels Reigns with a spear and points to the WrestleMania sign. We have our main event for WrestleMania!

They play up 24/7 Champ Bad Bunny’s appearance on SNL. Bad Bunny rocks. He punks out Miz. Damian Priest makes an appearance and daps up Bunny.

WWE United States Championship

Riddle (w/o first name) vs. John Morrison vs. (c) Bobby Lashley (w/MVP)

JoMo was an interesting but very capable choice as a replacement for Keith Lee tonight. Not sure he has much of a chance as someone like Keith Lee would, but it’s nice to see him get a chance to do his thing on pay-per-view.

Bobby Lashley’s been one of the more strongly booked characters in all of WWE this year. Morrison tries to make friends with Lashley but he’s having none of it. Riddle with a sleeper hold on Lashley but he just flicks Riddle off. John Morrison selling his butt off for Bob Lashley.

Riddle and Morrison come to an uneasy alliance to fight off Lashley, who has been dominant. I was surprised to find out John Morrison has never been US champ. I would have guessed he won it at some point in 2010.

Riddle really showing off his athleticism before a Pele kick on Morrison. Riddle misses his PK, lands a Broton, and hits the PK. Morrison kicks out.

Lashley back from the outside but he eats a Final Flash knee from Riddle. He hit the Floating Bro on Riddle. JoMo breaks it up. He his Starship Pain but Riddle breaks it up. MVP asks Morrison if he really thought Starship Pain was going to beat Lashley. Morrison steals MVPs crutch but he gets the Hurt Lock applied by Lashley. Riddle hits Lashley with the crutch! Riddle hits the Bro Derek and pins Morrison to win!

Winner, and NEW United States Champion: Riddle

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match

Bianca Belair and WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. (c) Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax

Shayna, Nia and her hole are out first. Let’s see if they’re still in the doghouse for that one after this match tonight. Reginald is still with the Boss here. I wonder how Carmella feels about that.

Shayna works Sasha’s arm as Bianca is positioned as the hot tag. A lot of “will she/won’t she” speculation about whether Belair will challenge Banks at WrestleMania. Sasha fights back and hits a top rope cross body for a series of nearfalls. Belair is tagged in but gets locked in the Kirafuda Clutch, who is able to tag Banks back in. Banks with a Frog Splash for a two on Shayna. Bianca hits KOD on Shayna but Nia breaks up the pin.

Nia tags in but Belair meets her with right hands. Nia reverse into a stiff spinebuster on Belair. Banks blind tags herself in and hits Meteora on Jax who kicks out at two. Reginald heads out to ringside as Banks locks in the Banks Statement on Jax. She forces a rope break. Reginald rolls a bottle of wine into the ring to Sasha, who Samoan Drops Banks to win and retain.

Winners, and STILL WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax

Backstage, MVP is shown talking to The Miz with the Money in the Bank briefcase set in front of them.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match

(c) Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus vs. AJ Styles (w/ Omos) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

We know Sheamus will be the last out after winning the gauntlet match on RAW. Drew is out first and he’s in a pod. Styles is next and also pod-bound. Kofi is third and will start from within a pod. He checks behind him to reference Edge from back when he stole his chamber spot. Shemus is last so we’re starting with Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy.

Kofi puts over Randy’s quads. Count down to Bray Wyatt interference begins now. Randy and Jeff work around the chamber. They don’t really do much of note until the clock ticks down and entrant number three is the champion, Drew McIntyre.

Drew throws Jeff into Kofi’s pod like a dart. Shout out to Kevin Nash. Orton hits the draping DDT on McIntyre for a two. Having McIntyre in there early really makes this a different match than the first, smart booking.

Kofi Kingston is the fourth entrant in the match. He awkwardly rolls up Orton and eliminates him!

Randy Orton has been eliminated.

He hits an RKO on Hardy and Kingston. Omos rips the door off AJ’s pod as he meets Orton while sneaking in and trying to pin both Hardy and Kofi, who both kick out. Adam Pearce comes out and throws out Omos. AJ’s officially entered in the match now.

Kofi hits a springboard DDT on Orton to the outside. Sheamus is the only wrestler left to enter the match after AJ jumped the gun. Kingston hit SOS on McIntyre for a two.

Styles works over Kofi for a while as Hardy and McIntyre recover. Kofi backdops AJ into the cage wall.

Drew and Kofi trade nearfalls. Sheamus finally enters and there’s only been a single elimination. All five men brawl as McIntyre and Sheamus eventually find each other to continue brawling. Tom Philips keeps calling them The Celtic Warrior and the Scottish Warrior really awkwardly, back to back. Sheamus just loudly and visibly calling spots. He and Kingston work to the top rope against one of the pods. Kingston makes it to the top of one of the pods. Sheamus gets crotched on the top rope in pursuit by McIntyre. Kofi is just chilling on top of a pod still.

Styles wanders over and they all keep brawling. Hardy and Styles help complete a big tower of doom superplex on Sheamus. Hardy and Styles both try to pin Sheamus but neither are successful.

Kofi stands up on top of a pod and hits a trust fall on the other four competitors. Kofi tries to pin all four guys but no one stays down.

Sheamus reverses some flippy shit by Kofi into a Brogue Kick and Kofi’s out.

Kofi Kingston has been eliminated.

Jeff Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on McIntyre for a two. AJ Styles gets a Twist of Fate. Hardy goes up to the top of a pod and hits a corkscrew plancha off the top of the pod! Hardy back up to the top rope, hits Styles with it, but is immediately hit with a Claymore and eliminated.

Jeff Hardy has been eliminated.

Sheamus and McIntyre continue brawling. Sheamus with a real close nearfall. He shows frustration as he stomps both Styles and McIntyre. McIntyre hits the Glasgow Kiss headbutt on but is immediately hit with a White Noise side slam. Styles sneaks in for a pair of nearfalls on McIntyre.

Sheamus threatens the Brogue Kick on Styles but McIntyre hits him with the Future Shock DDT.

Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick on McIntyre, but he gets hit with a Phenomenal Forearm and is eliminated.

Sheamus has been eliminated.

Drew McIntyre levels AJ Styles with a Claymore in midair and pins him to retain.

WINNER and STILL WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre.

Bobby Lashley hits the ring and spears Drew McIntyre. He begins to maul McIntyre outside the ring.

After a prolonged beating, The Miz’s music hits. He has a referee with him.

WWE Championship Match

(c) Drew McIntyre vs The Miz

This is an official cash-in. The bell rings. Miz jumps on Drew, covers for a two-count. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale. The Miz pins him and wins.
