Ryan Frederick and I are both staff writers at wrestlingobserver.com. Between the two of us, we handle all of the live UFC coverage on the site, with Ryan doing the majority and I also chip in with coverage of Bellator and some other noteworthy events that occur from time to time.
With a starting bankroll of $1,000 each, our ground rules are that we will make at least 3 bets on each show. No more than 10% of our bankroll can be wagered on any fight and at least one pick must be an underdog.
For betting novices out there, fight odds are based on a $100 bet. So, if the odds are negative, you must bet that amount to win $100. If the odds are positive, a $100 bet will win you that much.
We both had a rough time on the last show but it was a great card and at least we enjoyed the fights!
Here are the results after 3 events so far in 2020:
My picks are 7-10 with a loss of $76.75. For the last event, I went 2-3 with a loss of $34.23.
Ryan’s picks are 13-4 with a profit of $301.87. For the last event, he went 2-2 with a loss of $45.25
Here are our UFC 250 bets:
Anthony Rocco Martin $25 at +115 to win $28.75
Aljamain Sterling $40 at -115 to win $34.78
Brian Kelleher $20 at +200 to win $40
Felicia Spencer $15 at +400 to win $60
Jussier Formiga $40 at +115 to win $46
Amanda Nunes $130 at -525 to win $24.76
Neil Magny $69 at -122 to win $56.56
Cody Garbrandt $33 at -132 to win $25
Sean O’Malley $65 at -450 to win $14.44
Aljamain Sterling $35 at -108 to win $32.41
(Ryan placed his bets on Friday afternoon and I placed mine on Saturday morning, which explains the difference in odds.)
Bankroll totals will be updated before the next event that we do picks for, which is undetermined at this moment but stay tuned.
