Round 1
Spence looked good in the first, controlling it. Algieri looked like Algieri always does. Nice boxer, but zero power.
Round 2
Algieri is a punching bag. Spence hit him with a left hand and Algieri held on, taking a lot of punches. He was hanging on the ropes taking punishment. I’m not sure what Algieri was doing there.
Round 3
Spence controlled this one too. He’s loading up on the left hand. Algieri keeps his hands high, so a lot of the punches land on the gloves, but they look impressive.
Round 4
Spence put Algieri down with a left. Algieri was dazed and then took a knee. Late in the round, Algieri pulled Spence down and took a swing at him. He should’ve been docked for that.
Round 5
Spence put him down twice in the round and it was stopped. During the first knockdown, Spence was holding behind his head and Algieri was off-balanced. Spence drilled him and Algieri went down oddly. He may have twisted his ankle. He finished him with a loaded up left. That one couldn’t have been fun.
