WWE took to social media to alert those not at the latest NXT tapings at Full Sail that Shinsuke Nakamura would debut WrestleMania weekend for NXT. He will face Sami Zayn at NXT TakeOver: Dallas. We’ll be there in Dallas in just over two months and have a live report.
Some wrestling fans were dismayed to learn that he would start at NXT rather than on the main roster like AJ Styles did, but it’s probably for his benefit so he can get used to the style as well as wrestling and living in a different country.
In more NXT news, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Samao Joe is earmarked for the main roster after WrestleMania. He also said that Finn Balor wasn’t expected to head to the main roster and would continue to be their flagship star.
