Kevin Owens kills Machine Gun Kelly.

This wasn’t really more important than Brock Lesnar coming back, but I wanted to see what that would look as a headline and I wanted to shout out Kevin Owens for doing such a great job so far in his short time on the main roster. I think this is what Vince McMahon means when he says to take advantage of opportunity. Now, would he be doing as well with the push of say Wade Barrett? Of course not, but luck and protection is always part of it.

Owens came out and put down John Cena for being so disrespectful to him after their match. He said he didn’t need Cena’s approval and said he wasn’t a bad loser, Cena was a bad winner. He said he wanted another match with Cena, but this time, for the US title. He said he’d have his own Open Challenge and Dolph Ziggler accepted. But he said it would be non-title, which was a nice heel touch.

Owens beat him in a competitive match, which was the best on the show. He’s definitely a better athlete than I previously thought.

Later in the show, the hyped Machine Gun Kelly who is a rapper, but should be better known for being able to pull former Kanye West flame, Amber Rose, did a mini-concert. Owens came out, Kelly looked annoyed and gave him an awkward offer of a handshake, then disrespected Owens and Owens power-bombed him. Kelly absolutely got what he deserved.

Kelly is a goof, but I guess they needed to get on TMZ themselves.

Brock Lesnar is back.

Seth Rollins’ was really good on this show as the guy who has needed help all along to keep his title, only to prove it to himself that he could do it on his own. But of course, he’s a heel, so he’s going to rub it in everyone’s faces that he did it on his own. He pulled out a list of people to thank and he continued to thank himself over and over.

Dean Ambrose came out and they started brawling. Rollins left and Ambrose decided to a sit-in until Rollins came back. That didn’t last very long.

Triple H and Stephanie berated Rollins backstage for saying that he did it all by himself. There’s this weird thing where Triple H really believes in Rollins but waits for Stephanie to leave before he tells him. They teased that his next challenger would be decided by the end of the show.

Rollins berated J&J as well as Kane, talking about Kane’s dad and brother, which infuriated the former Big Red Machine.

To close the show, Stephanie and Triple H were in the ring to announce the new challenger. Triple H said it won’t be Ambrose, Jamie Noble, Kane, or Joey Mercury. Triple H basically said that it’s put up or shut up time for Rollins and then Brock Lesnar’s music hit. Rollins was scared and Lesnar smiled, knowing that Rollins was BBQ chicken.

And the rest…

– The show started with a replay of Sunday night’s Dusty Rhodes video, which is great.

– Ambrose, while still performing his sit-in, was interrupted by Sheamus. They had a match, in which Ambrose won. Sheamus rolled out, but was distracted by Randy Orton and Ambrose rolled him back and then rolled him up.

– There were several really good Dusty segments throughout the show, including him winning his first NWA title against Harley Race.

– R-Truth quickly rolled up Wade Barrett and Barrett beat him up afterward. Truth came out as his own version of a king. Where’s little Jimmy when we need him?

– Paige had a meeting with the divas to ask them to stand with her against the Bellas because they’re always cheating. No one trusted Paige because she’s not trustworthy herself. The Bellas came out and Nikki brought up Stephanie McMahon being on her side. None of the divas sided with Paige (well, they were all heels anyway), so she must stand along in her quest to win the title. She said she’d face both of them in a handicap match.

– Kane pinned Orton after changing the match near the end to a No-DQ match and Sheamus booted Orton.

– The Miz beat Big Show by count out after he argued with Ryback who was doing color commentary.

– Roman Reigns came out to challenge Bray Wyatt and Bray cut one of his normal, non-sensical promos on him, but this time, he included his young daughter in it.

– The Bella twins beat Paige.

– The Prime Time Players and Neville beat the New Day.

Final thoughts
