Episode 2 of All Access: Mayweather vs Maidana 2 is up.
And while I wouldn’t say it was as interesting as episode 1 when it comes to hyping the fight, episode 2 was definitely interesting for other reasons. You have three generations of Robert Garcia (who I mentioned they’d show more of because he’s better at hype than Maidana is), a new strategy for Marcos Maidana so that he can fight all 12 rounds with the same fervor that he did in the first 6 rounds of their first fight, and some other cool boxing tidbits.
While you don’t have anything on Floyd Mayweather from a strategy perspective other than him saying that the difference between him (an A boxer) and Maidana (a B boxer) is that he can make adjustments on the fly, the most intriguing aspect was his Mayweather Boxing Club fights which have an underground aspect to them.
There’s a dangerous feeling you get when watching kids who probably shouldn’t be in the ring with better fighters getting knocked woozy while Mayweather makes fun of them. You get the same feeling when you see others fight one long round of 31 minutes and wonder how someone doesn’t end up with brain damage after no matter the head gear. It doesn’t have much to do with Maidana vs Mayweather, but it shows what Mayweather finds entertaining in his free time. I think he needs some friends.
