Another week and another quick knockout for our Olympic Super Heavyweight gold medalist. The big man has already put together a nice little KO highlight reel for himself, and with promoter Matchroom set to keep him busy through to the new year, we can expect to see him add two or three more to it over the next couple of months.

The one-two combo which did the damage here to Paul Butlin were perfectly picked shots. Joshua has the size, speed, power, charisma and look to be a star in the current heavyweight scene, and it’s a division in desperate need of new talent. I know there will be skeptics, as there are with any hyped prospect, and there will be much tougher challenges waiting ahead for Joshua. There are still a ton of questions to be answered, but all he can do for the time being is beat what is put in front of him and show fight on fight improvements. That’s what he has done here.

This is a guy who has the potential to be very good for the division and the sport. Whether he lives up to his potential or not will remain to be seen, but his is a career worth following with interest.
