WWE Elimination Chamber – CM Punk Vs. The Rock II Play By Play
Late last week, we put in our predictions on who would win the Elimination Chamber cage match. It should be a good show, especially as it pertains to WrestleMania story
lines.
Brodus Clay and Tensai beat The Rhodes Scholars before the PPV started.
1. The Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio
The match was okay and worked around the arm bar. Del Rio got it on him three times before the Big Show finally tapped. Ricardo kept getting on the apron and interfering. At one point, Show had Ricardo’s bucket and Del Rio was supposed to kick it into Show’s face, but he missed and they had to do the spot over again. That was worse than James White missing 10 dunks in a row last night. No Ziggler.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
2. Antonio Cesaro vs. The Miz
The Miz is taped up from the great giant swing against the bararcade from Monday.
This show isn’t off to a good start. After Cesaro was beating the snot out of him and Miz was doing his best Ricky Morton babyface in peril, Miz set up Cesaro for the figure four and Cesaro kicked out his leg. Instead, Miz fell and kneed Cesaro in the balls for the DQ. Horrendous finish.
Winner: Antonio Cesaro
3. Elimination Chamber – Jack Swagger vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho
Jericho and Bryan in first. The period in between pods opening is four minutes. Swagger is in third. Kane in fourth. They teased Bryan vs. Kane. Kane hit the Doomsday Device on Bryan and Swagger got a two count. Orton in next. Did the draped DDT on the steel. Henry came in as the last guy and immediately pinned Bryan with the World’s Strongest Slam.
Henry caught Kane in a bear hug off the top rope and turned it into a World’s Strongest Slam. Kane is out. Down to the final four. Swagger and Jericho double teamed on Henry. Henry had Jericho and Swagger on the mat and went to Vader Bomb the both of them but they moved. Swagger big boot, code breaker, RKO, and Orton pinned Henry. Henry went back into the ring and slammed all three of them.
Last three was entertaining. Orton hit the RKO on Jericho for the pin and then Swagger rolled up Orton to steal the pin and win the match.
Winner: Jack Swagger
4. John Cena, Sheamus, and Ryback vs. The Shield
Really fun match. Cena was in the ring for most of it taking a beating. Ryback didn’t get in the match until the end. Cena had Ambrose up for the FU and Ryback had Rollins up for the Shell Shocked and Reigns speared Ryback for the win.
Crazy spot was Reigns spearing Sheamus through the barricade and nearly nailing Lilian at the same time.
Winner: The Shield
5. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston
Impromptu match as Booker was tired of hearing Dolph cut his promo. Ziggler won fairly nothing match with the Zig Zag.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Big E. made minced meat out of Kofi after the match.
5. Tamina vs. Kaitlyn
Tamina missed the splash off the top rope and Kaitlyn hit the spear for the win. Spear finish last 2 out of 3 matches?
6. CM Punk vs. The Rock
Slow match until the ending. Rock hit Punk with a Rock Bottom but Punk kicked out. Rock hit the ropes and the hit the ref who was then out. Punk hit the GTS but no ref. New ref in the ring and Rock hit the People’s Elbow, but Punk kicked out. The second referee turned his ankle. Heyman grabbed Rock’s belt and threw it to Punk. He held Rock so Punk could hit him, but Punk hit Heyman instead. Rock hit the Rock Bottom for the win.
Winner: The Rock
