Memorial Day weekend usually means there’s a UFC card. This is also the UFC show I go to every year. Well, except this year. I’ve been to the past few Memorial Day UFC shows, including last year’s putrid Rashad Evans vs. Matt Hamill main event, which is really the only MMA show I’ve been to live that I regretted going to.

Joining me on the show to preview UFC 146 is Jason Hagholm, aka @dadrrtywhyteboi.

We preview the main card as well as the FX prelims. The show features intriguing heavyweight match-ups on the main card, but it’s the prelims that are actually the fights I’m more interested in.

We also get into the drug issues plaguing MMA, from Chael Sonnen’s successful request for a therapeutic use exemption for testosterone replacement therapy to Nick Diaz’s suspension for marijuana.

We then get into WWE. As you may expect, we’re both pretty lukewarm on the product these days, and talk about their move to three hours.

Thanks for listening.

  1. Thanks Duan! My mind was racing to talk about as much as possible and I jacked up the Marc Ratner/Keith Kizer deal and then misread the WWE financials stuff and had to recant both times. Doh! Out of practice.

  2. You didn’t get flustered or lose your way or anything like that though, so it was all good.
