The arena is on fire. Froch is over like he’s Michael Jordan in Chicago. Smartly, Froch comes out to No Easy Way Out from the Rocky IV soundtrack. The name of the show was No Easy Way Out.
Carl Froch vs. Lucian Bute
R1
Froch is anxious and sort of running at Bute while throwing both hands. Froch drops his right hand after throwing it and gets hit with Bute’s left. Bute was the more calm fighter and landed the better punches. Froch hit him too, but he looked a little too anxious. Can’t think that was the game plan. 10-9 Bute

Much better round by Froch. He’s landing a hooking right hand and Bute looked a little befuddled. Really strong fight so far.
R3
It was their strategy. Froch is leading with the hooking right to get inside and do damage on the inside. Froch absolutely blitzed Bute the entire round and Bute could only hold on, and use the ropes to bounce back and forth to miss punches. Duan has to be ecstatic right now. Amazing round for Froch. Second round in a row for Froch.
R4
According to the stats, Froch landed 36 power punches to just 7 for Bute. Froch is absolutely not worried about Bute’s power. He’s rushing in there without the worry of being hit. He almost put him away late in the round. Bute was saved by the bell.

Froch stopped him. He absolutely blitzed him. The referee looked like he originally stopped it but then checked Bute to see if he could stand and then stopped it. That was weird.

On replay, the ref jumped in and started counting, but everyone thought he stopped the fight. Bad communication. Froch’s promoter jumped into the ring immediately.
