WWE 2011 Over The Limit Results

I’m still on my WWE PPV boycott for another month or so until they get their act together. Based on what I’ve read, it seems that Over The Limit was ok because of the one match I actually wanted to see; Randy Orton vs. Christian, which Orton won. According to what I’ve heard, it was an excellent match and one in which Christian teased going heel. His character has been awesome of late.

John Cena beat the Miz in the I Quit match after Miz tried to do what Rock did to Mick Foley in the late 90s by recording Cena saying I Quit and playing it off Alex Riley’s cell phone and into the mic. The referee figured it out, restarted the match and Cena made Miz say the words. Also, Bret Hart returned to help Jerry Lawler get Michael Cole to kiss his foot. It sounds like R-Truth’s match went well, which was very important to his standing as a new heel. The results are below.

Dark match: Daniel Bryan defeated Drew McIntyre
1. R-Truth defeated Rey Mysterio
2. Ezekiel Jackson defeated Wade Barrett
3. Sin Cara defeated Chavo Guerrero
4. The Big Show and Kane (c) defeated The New Nexus (CM Punk and Mason Ryan)
5. Brie Bella (with Nikki Bella) (c) defeated Kelly Kelly
6. Randy Orton (c) defeated Christian
7. Jerry Lawler defeated Michael Cole
8. John Cena (c) defeated The Miz (with Alex Riley)
