The Ultimate Fighter Season 12 – Team GSP Vs. Team Koscheck Episode 8

Dane Sayers thought he’d be a good choice for the wild card. GSP says Dane didn’t get chosen because of his pedigree. Dana White says Marc Stevens is just better right now for the wild card.

Koscheck and Tate, who he calls the male nurse played grab ass. There was one point where I thought Koscheck really wanted to choke him, but he’s way wrong in the argument, especially if he puts his hands on him.

Aaron and Marc have to fight, so it’s the first fight where guys on the same team have to go against each other.

Koscheck couldn’t take the trash talk so he put his hand around Tate’s throat. And this was just after he was talking about the romanticism of MMA and how hard the guys work. He says he snapped. He thinks GSP set him up to go at Josh.

Dane’s upset because he tried to split it up and Josh stiff armed it. Dane got overwhelmed and left the room. Koscheck went to the back to talk to him and didn’t necessarily apologize at first. GSP followed him.

Koscheck still blamed GSP for getting Tate to talk trash to him and he thinks it’s a psych-out job. This dude is insane.

GSP says that he told Tate to stop with the trash talking three times. He then told his full team. GSP says that out of the eight guys left, five will be team GSP guys, but only three would be from Koscheck’s team. So, three GSP guys would fight three Kos guys, but there will be two left over GSP guys who will have to fight each other. He asked all his guys to write down the name of who they’d like to fight if they had to.

GSP wants it to be Alex (Bruce Leroy) and Michael Johnson and Michael also wants that fight.

Aaron’s Nana passed away and he learned via a phone call and he’s taking it hard.

Aaron Wilkinson vs. Marc Stevens

Not an entertaining round at all. Stevens got a takedown and was on top and did some stuff. Wilkinson was on top and I guess did some stuff. And that was it.

In the second, Stevens went for a takedown and tapped to a guillotine.

Winner: Aaron Wilkinson by way of 2nd round submission

Koscheck got GSP to tell him what Michael Johnson’s weaknesses are, so he thinks he’s back one up on Georges.

The fights for the second round include:

Jonathan Brookins vs. Sako Chivitchian
Cody McKenzie vs. Nam Phan
Kyle Watson vs. Aaron Wilkinson
Michael Johnson vs. Alex Caceres

The first two fights take place next week.

  1. He came off looking bad for even messing with Tate, and then for messing with these young fighters who are way too scared to even take shots at him.

He’s in his own head and it’s all his own fault. I didn’t expect to like him as a character while watching the show, but he’s come off worse than I thought he would.

  2. Ok, now that I think of it, he’s working us all. I don’t think Koscheck can be that much of an ass. If he’s working, he’s the greatest pro wrestler ever.

  3. I think his inability to get into GSP’s head is resulting in Kos psyching himself out. It’s very funny.

    We going to make predictions?

  4. No matter what the key is, whether he’s doing it on purpose or not, stuff like blaming GSP or being paranoid is part of what’s selling this fight. I love to hate Josh Koscheck.

And we’ll definitely be doing predictions.

  5. Koscheck has me so torn. His trash talking is incredibly weak and usually makes him look like a fool.

But he is a Pittsburgh guy and when he is in your corner, he is very much IN your corner, if that makes sense. His teammate loyalty is very admirable.
