Edwin Valero Hanged Himself, According To Police
Mere hours after being arrested in suspicion of killing his 24-year old wife, former lightweight boxing champ, Edwin Valero was found nearly lifeless in his jail cell and authorities were unable to resuscitate him and he was declared dead early Monday morning.
According to the AP story on ESPN.com, Valero admitted to security on Sunday that he had killed his wife.
Valero’s career has had its ups and downs, starting with his rise in the ring at the start of his career. He had a motorcycle injury in 2001 that caused a brain injury. He had troubles getting sanctioned to fight in the US because of it. Valero was 28-years old.
