1. Jeff Hardy vs. MVP

MVP used a few submissions and Hardy sold for a lot of the match. Hardy made his comeback and hit the “Whisper In The Wind”. He went up top for the swanton, but saw Shelton Benjamin come out and jumped on him. He went back to the top and then missed the swanton. MVP hit the “Shining MVP” for the win. Pretty good opener.

Winner: MVP by pin fall

Santino and Beth Phoenix did an interview with Maria where the gist was that Maria couldn’t have Santino anymore because he was all Beth’s. Maria looks awesome.

2. Mickie James and Kofi Kingston vs. Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix

Mickie curled her hair for the show. The match was short, but had good action. Kingston looked great early on. He pretended like he was going to Stinger Splash Santino in the corner, but instead he jumped into a sitting position on Santino’s shoulders. It was impressive. Mickie hit her DDT on Santino, but Phoenix came up from behind her and hit the Glam Slam for the win. Phoenix is the Women’s Champ and Santino is the Intercontinental Champ.

Winner: Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella by pin fall.

Santino made out with his Intercontinental belt.

Shawn Michaels came out with his wife and said that he lost his smile again. Ok, he didn’t say that. He said that he was going to listen to his doctor and walk away. Chris Jericho came out and said he wasn’t going to allow Michaels to walk away without saying that he was really leaving because of Jericho. Michaels said that he could tell his wife and kids that, but only if Jericho admitted to his wife and kids that he never be Shawn Michaels. Michaels started to walk away and Jericho threw a punch at him. Michaels ducked and Jericho hit his wife. She took the punch like a champ.

3. Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry

The match barely started and Tony Atlas interfered for the DQ. I guess the show is going long. Jeff Hardy came out and they doubled teamed Atlas and Henry. They got a nice pop for what it was.

Winner: Matt Hardy by DQ

4. JBL vs. CM Punk

It was a pretty slow match and they never really clicked. They legit knocked heads later in the match and it slowed the match down every more as they cleared out the cobwebs. JBL went for a short armed clothesline from hell, but he missed (he’d already done one earlier in the match) and Punk hit a really bad Go To Sleep for the win. Crowd didn’t seem to care for it all that much.

5. The Great Khali vs. Triple H

This match went way too long. HHH sold nearly the entire way. They went vice grip to trap squeeze back to vice grip until HHH hulked up and finally hit the pedigree to win. The crowd popped for the finish.

Winner: Triple H by pin fall

6. John Cena vs. Batista

It was a back and forth match with good action. It was clumsy at times, but that was expected. There were some early submission spots including Batista using the figure four, Cena using the terrible STFU, and then Batista going for the world’s worst rear naked choke. But, there were also some really cool spots. Batista went for the power slam and Cena turned it into the FU. Then Cena went for his leg drop off the top rope and Batista turned it into a power bomb. Finally, Batista hit his finisher for the win.

Winner: Batista by pin fall

They just showed the greatest video package they’ve ever done. It was legit award winning stuff.

Edge vs. The Undertaker

It was a good match, but really long. They pulled out all the stops. Chair shots, going through tables, usage of ladders, and steel steps. Edge speared him into one side of the cage and opened up the cell. They then went outside and Edge speared him onto one of the announcing tables and it broke underneath them. The Undertaker chokeslammed Edge through two tables. He then speared Edge, gave him a conchairto, and then a tombstone for the win.

Winner: The Undertaker by pin fall

After the match was over, the Undertaker put Edge atop one of the ladders and climbed atop another. He then chokeslammed Edge who went through the ring. Then fire started burning from the hole in the ring as the show ended.
